- Wedding: October 2016
Long story short, I bought my wedding dress before being diagnosed with an overactive thyroid and now that the condition has been treated… I’ve put an upsetting (to me atleast) amount of weight on.
At the time I bought it, I was at my lowest weight and my main concern is that even with dieting and exercising as I plan to, I won’t be able to get back to that size. Plus the fact that I’m completing my master’s degree this year too so will have a lot on my mind!
I was wondering if you think it’d be possible to change the zip/button up back currently present to a corset back? My hope is that this could free up a couple of inches and give me one less thing to worry about in the run up to the wedding… my concern is that it’s not even possible.
The dress is the Mori Lee 1862, pictured below.
and my hope is to replicate something a little like this…
If it’s possible, do you think it would be a costly alteration?
Thanks in advance to anyone who replies! xx
