Don’t ever forget that your guests are there to witness your union to your husband in Christ. If your ceremony reflects who you are, then it’s perfect. If it happens to touch one of your guests along the way, then God bless! 🙂

We chose “Love Like Fire” by Hillsong (performed by our friends/worship leaders)

It was SOOOO amazing… and by far my favorite pictures of the day.. and part! I can’t even express how AMAZING it was to really put God first in the place He’s worthy of!

We included the words in the programs so that guests could join if they liked…. But really we were so enveloped in God I couldn’t tell you if anyone else joined.

here’s one of my favorite pics…

I am not married yet, but Love Never Fails by Brandon Heath will be in mine. It is a worship song, but also a song about enduring and never failing love. I love it!

@runsyellowlites: I would really love to hear how you worked that in, I think it would be amazing to do but not sure how/when to have worship songs to make it fit in the ceremony.

@kamiikiteiru: Darling Husband LOVES that song!

@chasesgirl: Our order of service went:

  • Prelude, Bridesmaid Entrance
  • Bridal Entrance
  • Welcome & Prayer
  • Wedding Message
  • Enchange of Vows & Rings
  • *kiss*
  • Worship song (lyrics in the program for the guests)
  • Communion
  • Blessing (from Deuteronomy) and Prayer
  • Presentation as Mr. & Mrs, Exit.

It worked really well!!!!!! =)

@Sosoon2011:

Well being that I was raised in more contemporary Churches so for me Hymns are pretty much out for me. I love things like “how he loves” and “our god is greater” I am just concerned that those aren’t familiar enough for people who aren’t used to listening to the new worship music coming out of hillsong and jesus culture.

@kryje003: We put the lyrics of the song we used in the program so that anyone who wanted to worship with us, could. I think this should clear up any issues of someone not “knowing” the song.. and then you can still use what you like =)

We are going to project the words, just like they do at church on sunday morning.

“Oh, How He Loves Us” is one of my favorites! I think you’ll be fine with the words projected.

@kryje003: that’s awesome! We got married in an old historic church so this wasn’t a realistic option for us…. That would’ve be so great to be able to though!

@runsyellowlites:

I actually just listened to your guys song and LOVE LOVE LOVED it. seriously it is the above pic of you and your husband that really conviced me that we wanted to add the song even though ti was going to add length and some people aren’t going to really “get” it. did you have musicians or just a recording?
