I’m so sorry your having such a bad day.  It sucks when everything seems to go wrong in one day.

As for fitness suggestions I have been doing the 30 day shread videos by Jillian Micheals. I’ve lost 5 pounds and half way threw the 30 days. Also use My fitness pal to track my food. I’m less likely to over eat if I know I have to type it all in to the app.

One thing that you can do to avoid the stress of losing weight is change your dress to a corset back.  That will give you a bit of wiggle room so if you don’t lose all the weight you will still be ok.

My go to weight loss is running and cutting off soft drinks. As for the dress not fitting, try a good corset. I bought one through Fredrick’s of Hollywood that made it possible for me to zip up my dress.

First, I’m so sorry about your grandparents! That is so hard.

As for your dress fitting… Remember that weight loss is 80% nutrition and 10% workouts (and 10% genes). So focus on your nutrition — personally, I like the 21 Day Fix because you can figure out your portions really easily, but any way you choose to focus on your nutrition could work. What’s worked for me is eating lots of fruits and veggies, not too many carbs (and none at night if I can avoid it) and swapping out sides at restaurants for side salads instead. You can do this! Good luck!

msmistis:  Haha, I thought I was the only one! I hate entering food in those things…. I have definitely thought, “If I eat this, I’ll have to log it… Nah!”

I agree with PP. Cut out soda, sweet teas, sugary coffee drinks. Drink as much water as you can! In that same vein cut sugar and bread if you can.

Just like you I bought a sample, last one and it fit perfectly if not a little loose when I bought it. I just had my 1st fitting and it was too tight! I didn’t get too upset because I have enough time to lose the weight and I know how. I’ll lower my carb intake and eliminate alcohol. I’m not a soda/juice or sugery coffee/tea drinker either. Try eating less bread, rice, desserts, and fruits and the weight will fall off.

svnnh09:  Focus on what you eat over exercise. If you exercise and still eat like crap, it won’t matter. I’ve been eating about 1400 calories a day and am down 7 pounds in less than two weeks. Use an app like My Fitness Pal to track your calories!

I am so sorry to hear about your grandfather and I hope your grandmother has an easy recovery!

msmistis:  Yes, Jillian Michaels is a beast… I work out all the time and they are HARD.

OP I’m sorry you had a tough day… your boss sounds like she’s either a bitch or stressed out about other things which she took out on you.  Try to let that go, you’re going to miss work and that’s that.

As for the losing weight, I love running (best all-body workout imo) and light weights.  For eating if I’m trying to cut back I eat a very light lunch (string cheese and a granola bar) and small portions for dinner, no treats or sweets and go to bed early.  Cut out Starbucks.
