@abirdword:  Honestly, I don’t think Fiance has ever given me a bad gift in all of our 7 years. HOWEVER, we got a gift from Future Father-In-Law a few years back that just confused the crap out of us. It was these plastic mini spatula almost like things. Fiance said “Oh, cool… what are they?” Future Father-In-Law starting laughing and said “I don’t know! I was hoping one of you would!” Not sure where they ended up…

@abirdword:  One Christmas, boyf got me furry white earmuffs (among other things). I was just like “Oh..thanks!!” then like a day later the dog had chewed them up, thinking it was a new toy for him. I was inwardly grateful haha!

@LiliKitty:  omg, if we are going to start adding in weird gifts from Future In-Laws, last year SOs mom gave us an incomplete 72 hour kit.. for one person. It was literally a gallon sized ziplock with a few granola bars, ONE of those thermal plastic blanket things, a few tea lights, some mints.. it was like she cleaned out her junk drawer and gave it to us as a gift. BIZARRE.

@abirdword:  haha one year my Fiance for christmas got me a sticky pad for the slot in my car that holds the phone while its plugged into the radio so HIS phone wouldnt slide when listening to music in my car. (I did not have a smart phone yet). He got me other things though and he was SO excited about this sticky pad I just had to laugh. And hey now that I have a smartphone to play music from it IS super handy. My Fiance is mostly a strict list shopper though.

LOL I don’t think he’s ever given me a gift I hated. He’s pretty good at gifting!

Totally NOT my husband’s fault but for the first birthday of mine we celebrated, he ordered me one of those gentle-wake light alarms that gradually gets lighter leading up to when your alarm goes off. Do you guys know what I’m talking about? Awesome idea and I really wanted one . . . and he spent like $100 but when it arrived it was so cheap and so small and the time didn’t illuminate (and I was practically blind as a bat before eye surgery) and it was just . . . really bad. We both agree that was a bust.

@blushpinkbride:  Oh so what….!

For our first Christmas DH, bless his heart, got me a…wait for it…manicure kit.  In a little plastic zip-up pouch.  Like the 7-piece, ten dollar kind.  Don’t get me wrong, it’s a useful kind of thing, but you have to know that I’m like the queen of nail polish and have had a TON of supplies since I was about 10.  I supppose he thought he was being thoughtful since he figured I would use it… ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’ve wised up since then and give him very specific ideas, for which he’s told me he’s very grateful!     ๐Ÿ™‚

One year DH bought me a temperpedic pillow. Sounds great, right?! The damn thing was awful! It was so stiff and my head just didn’t “sink” into it, like your body sinks into their mattresses. I tried to use for so long because I know he spent A LOT of money on it, but it was giving me terrible neckaches and even migraines! I felt so bad, but at least we can laugh about it now. ๐Ÿ˜€

My DH has always given me great gifts!  Can’t wait to see what he comes up with this year.  It will be our 9th Christmas together ๐Ÿ™‚
