I tend to leave half full (or half empty?) glasses of water wherever I go. It’s not that I drink so much water, I just feel better when it is readily available to me.

I was good about keeping my place clean when I lived by myself, but when Fiance & I moved in together, I felt like I was constantly cleaning up HIS mess and it would make me mad so I kind of turned into a not-so-great housekeeper.  He’s the type that will only clean if I ask him to, and I have to be very specific in what I’m asking him to do.

    Example:

Me: “Babe, can you clean the bathroom?”

Him: “Sure” (goes in bathroom, comes out with trash bag, and tells me it’s clean)

I’ve learned to specifically ask him to clean the toilet, shower, sink, floor etc.

When we moved in together, our apartment didn’t have a dishwasher…he found out pretty quick that I HATE doing dishes.  I did them by hand every night growing up, I don’t want to do them anymore.  Once we move to our new house, I won’t mind putting them in the dishwasher. 🙂

@HourThyme:  we have lived together for about 2 years and I still can’t poop with him in the house. Or if he is in the house I have to have the shower on and running with the door locked while he is in a room watching tv. It’s a neuroses.

I just utterly lack the motivation to clean. I’ve made it very clear that once he moves in (2 people in a 1 bedroom home), we are definitely hiring a housekeeper. We also just have naturally different thresholds for clutter, so he sees a “mess” when I don’t. I’m savoring my mail pile while I still can…

@Pretty_Chick:  lol it’s so not subtle too. Sometimes I will be complaining odf a tummy ache ang go” uh oh… ummm i’m gonna take a shower.” then run to the bathroom and lock the door.

    Ah he’s already found out.

    My annoying self:

    I’m a bad house keeper

As soon as I’m home/if I stay home I am in PJs. I like to annouced PaJamma time!

I drink out of different glasses everytime I get water, so I have like 5 water glasses all over.

Speaking of all my water glasses are mason jars, which I didn’t know was weird until he called me a bumpkin. I told him I had regular glasses for company and apparently that made it even weirder?

I’m a TV hog. I hate watching stupid car shows or man dramas so we watch wedding shows/girl tv a lot. I know I’m a meany.

Oh I thought of another one.
Fiance thinks if he puts a towel on the towel rack by the shower, it’s HIS towel.

That being said, Whenever I go to take a shower I take the used towel on the rack, throw it on the floor so I can step on it when I’m wet and get out of the shower.

After a year it Rages him out.

I try to give this one to him though, I try not to do it. It’s so dumb getting a fresh clean towel to put on the floor though, so now I have to step on wet hard floor. 🙁

We live together so most secrets are long gone.

He doesn’t know how much time I spend on the bee because I’m only on here during the day at work!  That’s one secret he may never truly know lol.

He will learn that HE has a terrible diet!  I think he’s going to think I’m starving him for the first few months until he adjusts to eating salads for dinner 3x a week or so.

He will also learn that while he thinks I’m a great housekeeper, there are a few chores I absolutely hate doing, so he’ll be responsible for them.  I hate sweeping/mopping, taking out the trash, cleaning the litter box, and cleaning the oven/burners.  Haha.  He already knows this, but I need a lot more sleep than he does so that will take some getting used to on both our parts.

@PixelMePretty:  …get a bathmat that lives on the floor in front of the shower??

Or do you use a fresh towel everytime you shower, so your towels are used once to dry off, once as a mat for the next shower, and then into the laundry?

    @MrsPanda99:  +1

We are pretty bad for potatoes… they often sprout. But our worst bit is fridge perishables. We don’t keep much in the fridge so we tend to forget about things we do put in there.

yeah, carrots and cucumber don’t keep very well. At all.

ETA: I used to be an all-day pyjama wearer too, but he’s trained me out of that, curse him! Now I can only lollop around in my PJs if I get out of bed, shower and make sure I’m clean, and then put on either a clean new pair, or my kigurumi to doss around in.

When I moved into my apartment in March, the girls who lived here before left a decorative pumpkin with straw and a scarecrow in it on top of the refrigerator. I didn’t think anything of it, and I completely forgot it was there. Well, in August(!!) I was going to store something on top of the fridge, and realized the pumpkin was REAL and not fake as I had assumed and the bottom of it had completely melted into a pile of slime! I couldn’t see it because the fridge is high, ad could only see the top part which still looked good! So gross!!

@HourThyme:  When I am single I rarely eat a regular meal for dinner unless I go out.  Cooking for myself and then eating by myself was too much trouble and slightly depressing.  It helped me lose a lot of weight which I promptly packed back on after Fiance and I moved in together and I started cooking dinners again!
