Totally agree. I would rather hear a “no” and move on than be stuck waiting around to hear and pondering the unknown.
Although obviously “yes” responses are best! 🙂
Agreed – I’m currently waiting to hear about a position I’ve had 2 interviews for.
Good luck Glorfin and Gingersnap!
I’m in the same boat. I’ve had one interview so far and I think it went well and now I’m dying to hear that I got in to the second round of interviews.
I’m an American living in Aus and I’ve had a lot of trouble getting my foot in the door here work wise and this job seems perfect- helping kids from the U.S. with their study abroad program here. The person hiring was an American so it really could go either way whether her also being an American is an advantage or disadvantage. I feel like I’m perfect for the job (came out here on study abroad myself 6.5 years ago) so I hope she sees it, too.
Rooting for you guys! Please root for me, too.
J is in the same position, but I’m eagerly waiting as well. I think it’s driving me more nuts than it is him. Crossing my fingers for everyone!
I totally don’t like the waiting part either! Once this loser HR lady from HP Canada kept me hanging for WEEKS and weeks! I wanted to know if I got the job so that I could buy plane tickets and take time off vs. start work. She was such a b*tch about it too! And the job was nothing complex! Ugh! I absolutely hate it when these ppl can’t make up their minds or simply don’t wanna say ‘no’ to someone because they feel bad saying ‘no’ and would rather just dilly-dally and hope the person stops asking. How UNPROFESSIONAL.
