Lawsuit / criminal charges. Unacceptable. That doc should be ashamed.

Yes, this is horrible, but I tend to believe that doctors do know what is best and that the body is unpredictable. Yes, this man should be sued and looked in to, but he performed the c-section for a reason and he most likely performed many sucessful births this way before.

I am absolutely disgusted. In tears for that poor family and feel sick to my stomach.

@ohmybears48:  The doctor refused to do the C-section, even though they had been advised to do so earlier. He didn’t perform the emergency C-section until after the baby was dead.

I do think it was an accident, but babies are sensitive! I’m trying to understand what could have happened to result in something so tragic. 🙁

@mepayne:  Oh! Thanks for clearing that up. I misread the description.

What? How does that even happen? Was he pulling the baby out with scissors? Ugh.

The scary part is that this hospital is considered the “baby factory” in St. Louis.  I think more people have babies here then at any other hospital which is why this happened… It was so routine for him, he just ignored the patient’s requests.  Something seems off with the story though, but it could just be that it is too tragic to believe.
