@bearlove:  Yeah, most abuse victims say it’s never happened before…

Worst wedding I went to was just uncomfortable. At the ceremony, there was no emotion from the groom. Bride (my co-worker) was beaming, Groom was a log (and looked kinda pissed). Everyone in my group agreed it was the most emotionless wedding ever. At the reception, she threw the bouquet and all the single ladies took a step back and watched the flowers land on the ground with a thud. Finally, reluctently one of the girls picked them up. Then the bride wanted groom to throw the garter. To do so, he needed to step out of a second story window on to a porch over the front door. You see them fighting as she is trying to get him to step out. You see him say FINE, storm out and fling the garter on ground about 10 ft in front of the guys down below and storms back through the window.

Yeah, ackward!

Ummm wow? I mean, yah I’m sure she was stressed and just reacted, but at the very least she should have been falling all over herself apologizing to him!!

@KoiKove:  awww I feel so bad for the bride! It sounds like she was trying so hard to make him happy. How rude and insensitive of the groom. She can never get that day back, the day she’s probably dreamed about her entire childhood. I would have been so upset and hurt towards my groom! Man, how selfish of him. 🙁

@KoiKove:  still married although they have major problems (clearly) and have spoken of divorce several times.  They had 2 kids together now.  I actually barely speak to her anymore…imagine that!

@Lily_of_the_valley:  Wow- now that’s a tv-worthy wedding!

I couldn’t imagine anyone hitting anyone at a wedding- unreal.

@silkspectre94:  I kinda agree, but I think she also forced him to do stuff he wasn’t comfortable with. You have to know your partner. She probably knew he would be uncomfortable with a large wedding and didn’t want to throw the garter, but talked him into it. But he should also have sucked it up and been a good sport. (How do I know she prob forced him? When we asked her about kids, her response was, “He doesn’t want them, but I know I can change his mind.” I don’t know what happend with them, but I have a feeling there was a whoops pregnancy)

That sounds like my FSIL! No joke.

The worst wedding I attended was my fiances cousins. They had the same 3 country songs played over and over at the ceremony.

Their favors were 5 m&ms in a bag… so embarrassing, should have skipped them

I NEVER TALKED TO THE BRIDE OR GROOM… never came up and said hi or thank you

they did the traditional first dance/son and mother dance/father and daughter dance and it pretty much died after that

the wedding party was having a good time but they were awkward and obnoxious, not inviting

I sat all night, as most of the guests did

Is it wrong that I would totally want to watch that??

Um, wow. How embarrassing for everyone involved. What sort of punch was it? An automatic reaction punch or one out of anger?

@bearlove:  How did she act after she did it, was she horrified at herself??  I mean did it seem like an “accidental punch” like an automatic reaction?   Did she seem like “oh well, this is how I roll.?”  lol   This is the craziest thing I’ve ever heard, more details!!  lol

I can’t believe she punched him.  Hopefully no one files that certificate and he can escape.
