@SandyThePoet:  LOLOL I just made a very loud noise at my desk trying to suppress my yelp of laughter. That is just amazing.

Holy crap, this thread is cracking me up! Luckily I don’t have anything to contribute YET, although FI’s considers his extended family to be “weird hillbillies” (his words) so we’ll see what they come up with for our wedding…

These are too funny.

We haven’t gotten any gifts yet but I’m expecting quite a few that can be added on here. Especially from the aunt who sent me a mug from my college’s rival school for my graduation present.

@jenangeles:  LOL!  That is absolutely hilarious, especially the apology.  I bet she was mortified!

@leeshabee:  Maybe the towel’s name is Mary, lol.   I just literally laughed out loud at that!

@SandyThePoet:  Ahahahahaha!  This is just TOO funny!

I haven’t gotten anything too weird for the wedding yet – except a mini cupcake maker that looks like a baby-pink George Foreman grill.  I’d be more excited if I didn’t live in NYC with limited storage space.

@SandyThePoet:  LOL!! Leave it to a man to be so literal. That was a good effort on his part, though!

These are all awesome, by the way!

This thread is ridiculous. I am suddenly very grateful for the few “odd” gifts I received… NOTHING compares to some of the things you ladies received. I’m dying of laughter over here.

OMG this thread is making me laugh so hard.  My cat just walked over and pawed at me, like she was making sure I was ok.

I really hope I get to add to this list after Fiance and I get married.

Fiesta themed Fiestaware?  I’m in stitches!

We received a set of books with tips for “going down” on your partner, in addition to a cock ring & some his/hers lube. We actually found this to be hilarious, and I’m guessing TSA did, as well, when they chose our bags to be randomly searched on the flight home.

Some of these gifts are just TOO MUCH!  This is hilarious…

I’m sad to report that all of our gifts were in the normal range… we got the one obligatory crystal bowl, which wasn’t on our registry and we really have no use for, but it’s pretty and new. lol

The only other gift that was odd was a joke gift from my Brother-In-Law, we opened the card and fake money came flying out, like plastic coins and tiny paper bills.  We had a good laugh about it, their card said to not throw it out because there was a “real” present in there but we couldn’t figure it out…  We finally had to call and ask… Mixed up in the tiny paper bills was a folded up check (a real one), good thing we didn’t throw the fake stuff out!

Not married yet and not all that outrageous but we were gifted with a engagement donation to someone’s church in our names… he’s Jewish and I’m atheist.

Man, there are some good ones here!

I have 2, um interesting gifts from our wedding. One is a needlepoint picture of ducks on a pond, it’s a giant portrait (bigger than 16 x 20) and they even had it framed for us.

We also got a really nice espresso machine. Except that I don’t drink coffee and DH is caffeine sensitive, like if he drinks a cup of regular coffee after 12pm I’ll still be scraping him off the ceiling at 1am. Oh, and it must be a regift, while the box was in good condition there is no barcode on it anywhere so we can’t return it…
