I had the same problem with my necklace! It was what I wanted, but I couldn’t find any cheaper alternatives that looked great. So I bought it. I love it. No regrets! (except now I can’t find it, OMGWHHHHYYY)

If you’re not doing a necklace, you can totally justify getting it because your bracelet will be your jewelry focal point.

If you like it, even though it’s a splurge BUY IT! You don’t want to look back and say ” I should have bought that bracelet” Besides, it’ll look great in pictures.

@mandypop: I recently cleaned out our bedroom and didn’t find it, but I guess I’ll know for sure when we pack and move out of our apartment this summer. I’m hoping/thinking that my parents might have it at their house.

Yes, it’s an expensive bracelet, but I’ve never seen anything else like it, and I think you could wear it again. Think of it this way: how much are you spending on your shoes, that nobody’s going to see. 🙂

FWIW, I had a custom bracelet made by daniel12 on Etsy and I $#^%#$^ LOVE IT.  LOVE. This vendor (not sure if its a dude or a chick) has many bracelets in that style; maybe s/he could make one out of pearls for you.  Never hurts to ask… and I bet it’ll be like $55.

    My bracelet:

ETA:  Just saw s/he did this beaded one in chocolate for $25.  Easily doable in white, I’m sure 🙂

I spent more than that on my wedding jewelry, but it’s because I knew I could wear it again.

that cuff looks very wedding-y and it might not look good with anything else. I voted “no”. but I’m super practical by nature!

I think that if you keep on going back to it, get it! It is your wedding day! You can splurge and should IMO. I actually fell in love with a bracelet in the jewelry store while we were looking for his wedding band…and get this…it was $250! For a BEAUTIFUL freshwater pearl bracelet that I couldn’t stop thinking about it. My Fiance knew that I wouldn’t buy it unless I really loved it so he insisted that I buy it, so I did lol.

I love it! If you have the money for it without causing any major financial damage you should buy it! You could absolutely wear it again for a dressy occassion without it looking too bridal.

Depends what $100 means to you. For some this is 10 hours of work, for others its 1 hour of work. Depends where you fall and how it will effect you.

I would also look at it as paying for actual labor from an independent artisan. Yeah, you can get something cheaper that’s made in a factory in China, but that jewelry isn’t supporting someone like this bracelet is. When you subtract out supplies and divide up the amount of hours spent making this, $100 doesn’t sound so crazy.

Oh my gosh it’s gorgeous!!! I’d splurge. You can always wear it for a special occasion/night out later!
