we got 72 inch round tables and they either have 10 or 9 people in each one. We just got 2 couples that said they are coming last minute. so i was thinking i can put each couple in a table that has 9. so there would be 11 people at 2 of the tables. woud that be too tight in a 72 inch round. i really dont want to add another table as i will have to get another centerpiece and i have already finalized everything with the florist and made final payment.

Depends how big (or small) your guest physically are. I think 10 would be suitable. If they all know each other then i think it would be fine. But if they are strangers they might feel akward sitting too close together.

Our venue had 60 and 72 inch tables and their guidance was 6-8 people at the small ones and and 8-10 at the 72 inch tables. They said they could squeeze 11 at the 72 in but it wouldn’t be comfortable.

It would be pretty crowded. We had 72 inch tables and the venue suggested 8-10 people a table. Most tables had 8 but there were maybe 2-3 tables that had 10 and that was almost getting tight. Do all of your tables have 10 people? If not maybe you could put them at a table of 8.
Utimately I think you can do it and it won’t be a huge deal if that’s the only place you can fit them but it would probably be more comfortable not to.

Our venue reccomended 8-10 people for a 72 inch round table.I think they will be fine maybe a little tight but not a big deal

Our venue told us that they could fit 10-12 at 72″ round tables. Nearly all of ours had 10, but we had 11 at a couple and it was fine. We did have chiavari chairs, which allow you to fit more people at a table, and I guess our guests were overall on the thinner side of average. I think it’s preferable to have 11 at a table than isolate 1-2 random guests at a table where they won’t know anyone else.
