I think it makes a difference!  I’m 5’5″ 120 lbs with a petite frame, and I definitely think every 5 lbs shows.

I also want to slim my arms down for the wedding… I’m hoping to be at ~112 but also more toned by then…

I’m 5’2″ and a 5 lb weight loss is definitely noticable. For me it’s the difference between not fitting into my pants if I gain 5 and looking awesome if I lose 5 from where I am now

It depends on your frame. I’m almost 5’9″ and five pounds does not make a visible difference or change my clothing size.

I’m 5’3 and recently lost five lbs no one noticed Except me, my boobs are responsible for the first pound I suspect;)

I’m 4’11” and 3 lbs makes a difference to me! 5-7 lbs and other people notice. But if you’re at a healthy weight, don’t starve yourself for it, it’s not worth it! Maybe just do a little toning. I’m doing a bootcamp that I LOVE. I’ve lost 4 lbs but a lot of inches. I’m on the verge of liking my arms again 😉

@toelopeornottoelope:  I am 5′ 6.5” and I just lost 5.8lbs. I noticed the difference in my abdominal section, butt and chest size–it went down 🙁 My starting weight was 150.2 lbs, which wasn’t unhealthy, but definitely the most I’ve ever weighed. I am now at 144.4 lbs. Some people have commented I look great, but I don’t think they really noticed the weight loss.

A great way to really notice results is to measure the inches lost! I measured myself when I started to lose weight and have enjoyed seeing the inches lost. 5lbs is not a dramatic change, but it can definitely help you fit into a pair of pants or flatten out the mid-section a little.

5 lbs makes a difference on me and I’m 5’3″. It doesn’t on my 5’9″ Maid/Matron of Honor.

I’m 5’5″ and it makes a difference for me. Nobody is likely to comment on it but I can feel it.

When I accidentally lost 5lbs (I’m 5’2″), I had guys I worked with asking me if I’d lost weight and I hadn’t even noticed.  I was 118 and went down to 113.  I didn’t notice until someone else mentioned it.

Today, I weighed myself convinced I was 125 (I had been hovering at 123 for a month after being at 128 for three), and I was 121.  So I guess sometimes 5lbs makes a difference and sometiems it doesn’t.

I am 5’0″ and I gained 7 lbs when I moved in with FH. I am now up just 5 lbs but goodness, I can tell a difference in the way my clothes fit. Way too snug and some of my pants no longer fit 🙁 I am working on getting back to normal before the wedding.

Yes, it’s makes a huge difference for me. I’m 5′ and currently 112. I feel my best around 105-106. I have a small frame and hardly any curves. It’s nice because I actually have boobs at my current weight, but I don’t fit into my skinny jeans the way I want! When I lose weight it’s in my boobs, butt and tummy.

You can usually see it in your face. I’m 5’6″ and it takes 8 lbs for people to really notice though (or, say something I guess).

I’m not sure how noticeable it would be to the naked eye, but I will say that I gained 2-5 pounds between my dress fitting and my wedding…and had to get my dress re-fitted!  I noticed that my pants were way tighter but I couldn’t actually SEE the difference.
