@kmaemu:  here are my two friends as we leave the hotel for the ceremony. i thought it was beautiful because it suited her style and taste, and make up. I dont think i could pull it off because it isnt me, but i dont think it makes the dress casual, it just a matter of taste and preference (:

add a flower hair piece too – it looks stunning

Adorable!  I just got married and wore a tulle (not netting) birdcage to my reception?  My dress was a big ball gown and I loved How it looked together.  I actually am selling one that I bought and didn’t wear (mom surprised me with another one)…when I’m on my computer, I can send you pics if you want.  PM me if you’re interested 🙂

I think a tulle birdcage/bubble veil would be cute. I’ just not a fan of netting birdcage veils, especially with ball gowns, they give a very specific vintage look.

@kmaemu:  Okay this is a terrible photo of me dancing, but I don’t have my pro pics back yet.  I blocked out my face since I’m still unsure whether I’m doing recaps or not…but hopefully you get the idea.  I think birdcages are typically used for a vintage look, but I wasn’t really going for that.  I just wanted something fun on my head for the reception.  I got a lot of compliments on it.

The one I originally bought and intended to wear (and was thinking of selling, if you’re interested):

i think it will be a good contrast between a lot going on w the dress and then some relief for the eye with a shorter veil
