Would a white dress with small black polka dots be okay to wear as a guest?

No. Too white and looks like lace from far away.

seacrash :  I didn’t insult her personally and there wasn’t really anything unfriendly in my post. To be honest I was very baffled that it was even a question. I just wanted it to be very clear that option was completely unacceptable, as would be any white dress at a wedding.

Lol at this thread. Glad you went with the black dress! Also the mustard colored shoes/belt that someone posted are totally cute.

kiragabrielle00 :  This thread is hilarious. Weddingbee is filled with posts about Bees going against the grain, and throwing away outdated wedding traditions, but God forbid one Bee posts a pic of a white dress with dots, and it’s off with her head!

Personally, I don’t care if someone wears white to my wedding. Hell, I’m not a virgin; I shouldn’t wear white either. That being said, I love black because it’s so versitile. Cute dress!

Thats wayyyy to much white to wear it to a wedding.. When i first pulled the dress up it looked just white to me.  I would not wear that to a wedding

bearinabeecostume :  It is different when you are choosing something non traditional for your life or for your own wedding, this is someone else choosing for you.   Just because you are okay with something doesn’t mean you can assume everyone else is.

zzar45 :  Great. Brides still get offended when guests wear white to weddngs. I think OP got the message. However, attacking OP with bitchy comments was completely unnecessary.

kiragabrielle00 :  I actually prefer the black one you purchased over the white anyways! But I love the idea of a colored belt & heels. You’ll look fab! Im also really surprised at the amount of bitchy comments, how hard it is to answer a simple question without being rude? “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all”… I get that the same questions all the time get old, but YOU didn’t ask the same question a bunch. You didn’t deserve that, Sorry OP.

kiragabrielle00 :  I probably would not choose it because it is a lot of white, but at the same time I wouldn’t be upset at someone else who did. Some people are more concerned than other but I always figure it’s better to err on the side of caution. I think if an outfit is more than half white it’s probably better just to go with something else. It’s not like white is ubiquitous and it’s hard to find anything that isn’t white.

It is a beautiful dress though and if you buy it I’m sure you can find some event to wear it to. It would be more appropriate for a wedding if it was larger polka dots but these ones are tiny.

Or just get the black one.
