@Crazyhair:  Any seamstress worth her salt will be able to take that gown in and preserve the pleats. Two sizes is a decent alteration, but definitely not outside the “do-able” range. My dress had some ruching/pleating around the bodice and though I didn’t have to have it taken in a full size, I did have it taken in and it was fine. If you’re in my area, I’d be happy to refer you to the lady I used!

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I love that dress. Very classic and bridal 🙂

Find a good seamstress, it should be no problem.

@Crazyhair:  I took mine to an independant that did a lot of work for the salon where I bought mine. They didn’t have their own department and she didn’t work for them, but they really liked her and handed out her card. So glad I used her…she was wonderful!

Oh, I got married in Dallas and had a great seamstress!  I will try to find her information for you….

Ok, it’s Sew Fine Alternations.  She is is Lewisville, so kind of a hike but did an amazing job with my dress (it was also taken in 2+ sizes).

She does a lot of custom work and resdesign, so I am sure she can preserve the pleats in that gown.
