i agree with what littlemissmango said above.  I would be staying in mexico longer than 3 days if I was paying to fly all the way down there.  I would rather you don’t have it on a holiday weekend.  Then I can still get my holiday weekend at home and go to your wedding in Mexico and stay longer there to make a vacation out of it.

i’ve been out of the country for the 4th and i was a little sad to miss it, but for a good friend/family member’s wedding it would be worth it.

What a great reason to getaway during a long holiday than a wedding. With enough notification, I’m sure guests will make an effort. Some family and friends might miss me at the July 4th BBQ, but I’ll have a great story tell them at our next BBQ. 😉

We would probably do it. We love the 4th but have certainly celebrated out of the country before! Would it be a destination style wedding for them? Because going to a mexican resort for the 4th sounds great – drinks, pools, the ocean… yeah, I’d be sold!

We had our wedding on July 6th in Cancun and I didn’t hear any complaints. I say go for it! Heck, our resort even celebrated July 4th with a special theme night so it was even more patriotic then what we woulda had in the states.
