I know exactly how you feel! I still feel sometimes like I wish we had just eloped & we are barely over a month away. I wanted a nice, small wedding and for us to not spend more than maybe a few thousand.. Now we have about double the amount of people and almost double the price.. My dad offered back in May when I was at my wits end to give me the $ I had paid on the venue plus $1500 more to elope if I wanted that & for some reason I convinced myself the wedding was what I wanted.. But like you said, I am happy to be marrying my bestfriend just not what it turned in to..

Well… maybe so. I’m really getting my dream wedding, but it wasn’t my first choice (because of cost). Hindsight is 20/20, though. I would have been just as happy with an Escape wedding at Disney as I’ll be with my aquarium wedding. If I could go back and retain the info I have now (like a bridesmaid dropped out, lots of both sides won’t make it, and we hate the caterer), yeah, I’d change it.

But, that said, I’m still thrilled about the penguins attending our wedding and we’ll have an amazing cake. Sweet! (no pun intended)

I just realized that there is a community park by the my grammas house that does weddings. And they’re beautiful. If I found this out earlier, we would’ve gotten married at the courthouse and had a reception there. Oh well. What’s booked is booked.
