Yeah don’t make him go over his budget, that’s not cool. Even a 1.63ct ring has gotta be close to 10k right? I get that you like a certain look but… dang haha.
Emerald cut is a beautiful and classy choice in any size though!

naivemelody : Thanks, bee! Yes, I agree. Further down the line, when we can afford it, we can always go bigger if I decide to. :*

Ladies, let me also add that I think I thought that the stone appeared small because:
1. It was not on a band for me to try on.
2. It was not in the 3-stone setting
I think that is why I’m having trouble visualizing the size accurately. Quite frankly, I feel like I was acting too picky and I feel dumb for that.

AMarie_ : I’m someone who has never wanted a diamond. I remember my mom telling me about the industry and so it was never an option in my mind. I have a 7mm round Forever Brilliant that gets pretty regular looks and compliments. No one’s ever said anything distasteful to me. Even my IG gets a lot of direct messages from random people asking about cut, color, and carat of my “diamond.” I’m always happy tell them about what it actually is.

hungrymeow : That’s awesome, bee! I just saw your e-ring in your avatar and it sure is gorgeous! Thank you for weighing in. I am definitely leaning on getting a moissanite anyway.

I also have an emerald cut moissanite 🙂 I have had it for almost 3 years now and it’s still in perfect condition (just as pretty as the day I got it). No one has ever asked me anything weird or said anything rude about it. If someone mistakes it for a diamond I usually explain what it is, and everyone so far as thought it was really cool! I love how budget-friendly it was 🙂
I have a C&C Forever Brilliant moissanite, not sure if they even make those anymore. There are lots of options nowadays!

hopfenn : I’ve been obsessively checking F&B website and youtube channel. So amazed at the beauty of their stones. 🙂

AMarie_ : If anyone was so rude as to ask me if it was ‘real’ I would be gobsmacked! It passes pretty well, if that is important to you, I would say better than round brilliant moissanite. But I will say that I bought a very well cut stone from a reputable seller, so that counts for a lot.
I am pretty honest with people who are jewelry savvy about what my center stone is, I have no problems stating it is moissanite.
