I think teal and coral can look really good together, as long as they’re the same… saturation? Amount of dustiness/mutedness? Not sure how to describe it.

I don’t know if tacky is the right word. Are they going to wear the pink with the teal shoes? In my opinion I would keep looking for the teal – I’m not a fan of that color scheme – it reminds me of 80s prom

I love coral and teal together. I think if you had another filler color in there, like tan or ivory, it would look even better! My colors are bright turquoise and creamsicle and the filler color is white with touches of pink so I think your colors could work and be really pretty!

My only comment would be that the two colors you showed are baby shower colored.  What are your other colors for the wedding?

I like teal and pink! I dont think it is tacky at all! I really like the modcloth dress you posted. However, all these things depend on how your wedding is. As long as it is more casual these are all fine. For a black tie or dressier event, no.

I personally don’t think they’re wedding appropriate.  I think they’re really cute for everyday use, but I think they’d look out of place at a wedding.  Even in a casual wedding, people wear nicer shoes, not distressed boat shoes.  Just my two cents!

I love those colors together, being used in the manner in which you described, and I definitely do not think the look would be either tacky or evocative of a baby shower.  (If they were soft, baby pink and powder/baby blue, yes, but not dusty rose/coral and aqua/teal.)

By the way, I wanted a similar aqua color for my bridesmaids’ dresses, and I had an extremely difficult time finding it. After a fairly exhaustive search, I finally found a swatch of what I described as a Caribbean-Sea-blue color, iridescent, two-faced-silk taffeta, and I ordered the bridesmaids’ dresses that could be obtained in that fabric. They were expensive, but I loved them.

@allyfally:  Not that they are pink and blue, because those are my colors (navy and soft pink) but because the shades are both baby shower colored.  But it is your day – and depending on the rest of the plans, it could be perfect!

are the coral shoes and dress the exact shade?  I think teal and coral could make a great match!.. but i think the dress and shoes are mismatched.  if u wanna keep the shoes, perhaps you could get a dress with a more casual material?

I think teal and coral would look better together than coral and coral..

@allyfally:  I worry that the shoes look a little brighter than the dress, I think if the shoes aren’t brighter than the dress, it will work nicely.  I would add tan and maybe some small pops of either muted yellow or purple color, but not both.
