One thing to think about. You have pictures running right up until the ceremony start time. You’re prob going to want to plan for a 15-20 minute break between pictures and the ceremony to touch up/relax. Also, if you’re taking picture near the ceremony you prob want to hide from your guests while they all take their seats.

sounds good! i would just pick up a fruit platter from the grocery for you, bridal party, and family to snack on while you’re getting ready and taking pictures.

the only thing you might want more time for is bridal portraits…especially if your dress laces up or has buttons. those can take awhile to do.

Honestly, you should probably build in more time between the ceremony and dinner. Even if it’s a short and sweet ceremony, I’d give yourself more time, maybe pushing back dinner until 7:45 or 8:00 so there’s transition time. Guests probably won’t go to sit down to dinner immediately after the ceremony.

Oh, and one more thing, I’d build in more time for hair/makeup and pictures too, just in case. I’d give yourself two hours to do hair and makeup, just so you don’t feel rushed. My hair alone took over an hour, and I had a really simple updo. The single biggest piece of advice I can give is to give yourself WAY more time than you think you need. Our ceremony was at 5:30, and I started getting ready at 10:30. I was never rushed the entire day, but I didn’t really have any downtime either, which I honestly thought I would have.

I agree with Merry, I think you should have a tad more time between the ceremony and dinner. People need to find their seats and get settled. I think they also would like some time to mingle before eating. πŸ™‚

I would allow more time for your hair & make-up, getting dressed and bridal portraits. My photographers had me allot 1 hour just to getting dressed. And, while getting dressed in and of itself is a simple task, it takes quite a bit longer when you are being photographed doing so. They will want to capture you putting on your jewelry, shoes, garter. Getting buttoned/zipped/corseted up by those nearest and dearest to you.

In addition, hair and make-up can take longer than one hour for a whole host of reasons no matter how good the person doing it is. Also, is the hour just for hair and make-up for you? or you and your MOH? what about the mothers of the bride and groom?
