missmewhenimhere:  I would be nervous to buy a ring with that clarity even if it was a GIA certified diamond. The fact that it is gemscan would make me even more nervous. I would wait to find something else, but that’s just my opinion. Pretty ring though!

It’s clarity enhanced. Don’t buy it

missmewhenimhere:  I’m sure gemscan is fine, just lower grading than GIA (so the same diamond would be graded quite a bit lower by GIA). Depends a lot on how it looks in person though! I’ve never seen an enhanced diamond, so if it looks good in person than go for it!

I wouldn’t. I’d keep looking.

I would keep looking too.  Cut is the most important thing. More so than clarity. You want a GIA graded ring with excelant cut.  Very good is not good enough.

I guess my point is that this diamond is the lowest clarity with the lowest grading…which means it’s the lowest clarity diamond you can buy. It’s a good price but I don’t know if it’s worth it. Depends what is important to you though. I sacrificed colour for clarity for my diamond because I know clarity is a big factor in the sparkle of a diamond, but everyone looks for something different.

it doesn’t matter what others think; all that matters is whether you love it!

personally I would keep looking as those specs and enhancement aren’t for me.

Good luck 🙂

missmewhenimhere:  An I2 diamond can be weak just at that clarity, but when it’s been clarity enhanced they essentially drill holes in it to remove carbon deposits. Add to that it being a square stone, I’d fully expect it to crack or break if it falls or you hit your hand against something
