- Wedding: February 2014
I found a beautiful venue at a great price that also offers discounts since February is off season for a golf course. They can do the ceremony and reception in the same place, which makes it so convenient and I love the way my invitations will look without having to list two addresses.
However, obviously they need to flip the room from ceremony to reception. This takes about 90 minutes, during which we would go do pictures (since I do not want a first look) and the guests would get a cocktail hour. However, the area the venue has for cocktail hour for the guests to wait only seats about 60, and we will have almost double that. I have taken a tour, and there isquite a bit of room for standing, but is that weird to have some guests stand for 90 minutes during cocktail hour?
The venue is so worth it and I love the location, we will get beautiful mountains in the background of our pictures… As a guest I have stood and walked around during cocktail hour, so I don’t think it’s too too bad. I’m just looking for some reasssurement!
