I posted last night about how I usually wear my makeup like this and went a little more dramatic for the wedding… I found some photos to show you =)

i agree with pp.  the eyeliner is a bit harsh, especially on the bottom.  the eyeshadow will look good in pictures though.

i think the main reason for this is because black liner/mascara can look too harsh on a blonde.  blondes should stick to brown or charcoal liners.

the bottom liner is too solid and should be tapered inward.

the lips will get lost in pro pics so they must be lined and tinted.

@futuremrsk18:  this is a beautiful wedding makeup inspiration pic.  enough for pictures but very tasteful.

It’s too much eye and not enough everything else. The lips are really throwing me off — they look unnaturally pale. I don’t think that will look good in photos.

I can get on board with a dramatic eye, but I’d try sometuing a little bit softer for a wedding look.

@MissFireFlower:  It just looks really, really artificial. Not “dramatic” in the same way that smoky eyes and red lips do — just artificial. I’d stay away.

@MissFireFlower:  I don’t like it at all, sorry. I think it would actually detract from your beauty because IMO it looks kind of fake–like you’re trying to cover up your face instead of enhance its natural beauty.

Honestly, I think it looks way harsh, especially in the full face pic.  I just don’t think it’s a good look generally.  It needs blending or something.  It kind of reminds me of the dark brown lipliner trend circa 1992… Only on your eyes.

I actually kind of like the eyes. I think this particular girl’s overall look is not great, though. The eyes combined with corpse lips & thin, arched eyebrows just doesn’t look right.

I think you could definitely do something similar with your upper eyeliner, & eyeshadow. Maybe soften the lower eyeliner (just put it on the outer 3rd, and blend) & avoid putting it in the waterline. A little more blush, and a “my lips but better” type lipstick, and I think you’d have a nice look.

Looks a little hoochie mama-ish. In photos, I think your lips would wash out.

Shadow is pretty. Eyeliner is much too harsh.

Yeah, way too much. She looks like she’s ready to shoot a porn scene. I have no qualms with smokey eyes or heavy makeup, but proper application is everything.

@HappilyEverAfter54:  I think you do your makeup really nicely.  But, with such a dark eye, you can’t really go dark on the rest of your face and I think it will make you look very washed out in pictures.  Consider a softer shadow so you can go darker with blush and lips and not look like you stepped out of the 80s.  🙂

If you did go with that look, I’d get ride of the bottom liner completely.
