That’s a straight up wedding gown. Rock it if you want to!

I def think it looks a little to bridal gownish for a rehearsal dress. It’s pretty but IMO a bit too much for a rehearsal dress.

@saffy:  I think that dress at its current length and cut looks way too much like a bridal gown and a beautiful one at that! I think it would less like a bridal gown if the cut was higher with the hem like maybe at the knee or just above. Cool

@saffy:  definitely more of a wedding gown… it looks heavy as well, not the lighter dress I’d want to wear to the rehearsal.

If you want to wear a long gown, why not a maxi?

Very pretty dress but too much for a rehearsal, IMO.

I LOVE this dress.

No denying that it is a Wedding Gown…

BUT if you change the colour as you are suggesting (thank you off shore Dressmakers) to a pale blue then I think it would read as a very elegant gown… not necessarily Bridal

I mean honestly… coloured Wedding Dresses are just gaining in popularity now… lots of folks still think WHITE or IVORY for Weddings, and haven’t seen coloured dresses at a Wedding yet

In the end, do whatever makes you happy.

Lol, this from a girl who is seriously considering buying a different dress (somewhat wedding-like) for our upcoming Back Home Reception

I liked the Destination Wedding Dress I wore on our Wedding Day enough… but didn’t absolutely adore it as it wasn’t my first choice (originally we weren’t going to marry in such a hot climate)… so now I’m thinking I can use the opportunity to have a re-do, and am looking for a dress a lot like this one for the Party we are throwing for Friends & Family, and because it is decidely winter here (-20) and I don’t see myself popping on my flimsy dress for the first half of our Reception and rockin it… when I’d be much more comfortable in something that has some “weight to it” like this very elegant gown you’ve chosen (it is a lot like the gown I had originally in mind for my own wedding).  It still reads Wedding (in ivory, or cream) but without being over the top (afterall I am an Encore Bride)
