Okay so I’m trying to find wedding shoes and I need to have flats or wedges for the ceremony because it’s on grass and I am probably the clumsiest person ever. So I found this first pair of shoes: http://www.aldoshoes.com/us/clearance/womens-sandals/flats/79613116-ANAGNOS/81. After searching the site some more I found pretty much the same shoe in a heel: http://www.aldoshoes.com/us/clearance/womens-sandals/heels/79343558-MAKINSON/81
Would it be weird to wear the flat during the ceremony and the heel during the reception? Or should I get a completely different shoe for the reception?! I feel like no one would notice the shoe change if I got both of these, plus I can get both of these for under my shoe budget (major points!)

i think that’s a good idea!

Nope, nothing weird about it! Just make sure you don’t trip on your dress in the lower shoe.
p.s. I really like them both. 🙂

I think that would be fine, I think the only issue is the hem length on the dress.
Which shoes will you hem it for?
If you hem for the flats, it’ll be too short with the heels, if you hem for the heels, you may trip over the front in the flats.

I like them both 🙂
But to reiterate the problem stated before with the hem length- I think you want to be at least within an inch difference. So maybe wedges for the grass shoe? I don’t think people will notice your shoes too much anyway- unless you are doing a short dress?

Thanks for all the comments ladies, that was one thing I was concerned about — hem length. I’ve been searching for wedges, but not finding any I really like. Maybe I’ll just have to go for those heel stoppers for the grass.
This is my dress (not me) — would silver even look good? My colors are purple, light green (like sage) and silver. The BMs are wearing silver shoes so should I go with green (impossible) or purple to stand out a bit…not that anyone really even see the shoes that much, I’m sure.

Sorry, let me try that again…this is the dress

The shoes are both great! I’m a big fan of heels but I would probably just wear the flats the whole time if I were you — you’ll be comfortable and they’re cute! Plus, the more I think about the more I realize the cute shoe thing is mostly for pictures… I don’t remember anyones wedding shoes! =P Hope this helps!
PS. We’re date twins!!

I think it’s a great idea!!!

I think both are great, and both serve an important function!! You can walk, and dance! Whoo hoo! Get both!

I really think I might just get both…the hemming is an issue but I’ll talk to the seamstress to see what she thinks about tripping over myself. Besides, I just like the shoes in general and would wear them on other occasions…they’re pretty cheap right now!
This is why I come to the Bee, so many helpful opinions!!
