I am looking to go the traditional route and play Canon in D for my walk down the aisle. I love the Celtic version of the song and would love it and would like to hear it for as long as possible. Would it be weird if I had the song play for the entire processional (bridal party and all) or should I pick a different song for them?
Would love some opinons! Thanks in advance bees!!

I don’t think its weird. Do what you want. You just might need some family members to signal the stand up since there won’t be a music cue.

I don’t think it would be weird; however, the start of a new song usually signifies the bride is on her way.

I’ve been to a few weddings where they only played one processional song that both the bridal party and the bride walked to. I don’t see anything wrong with it. If that’s the way you want it to be, then that’s the way it should be. There’s no definite right or wrong when it comes to that.

No–it’s a long enough piece that it would work for the entire party. My friend did this at her wedding (I was her MOH) and we both walked in to it. A signal would be helpful if you’re having a larger Bridal Party and the guests aren’t sure how many people will be in the processional, though.

I sure hope not, because that’s what I want to do too.

Not wierd…I love it! However, you’ll want for someone to signal the guests that it’s time to rise.

Great thoughts everyone! Thanks! That was the big thing I was concerned with, the part about signaling that the bride is coming. I’ll just make sure a few family members are ready, so everyone will follow suit. Hopefully that works!!

I think it could be really pretty. You could even make it slightly louder right before you walk in. Kinda as a signal for guests to stand and a way to give you your special moment.

Not weird at all… I love that song and I also used it for the entire processional.

Not weird at all. Infact I am walking down the aisle to Canon D (celtic mix) WOW!! So I say play it as long as you want, after the flowers girl come the music could be lowered a little to signal the bride is coming and the turn the volume up when you are ready to walk.
Congrats and Happy wedding day
