Fiance and I are known for splitting a nacho plate probably 70% of the time we go to any of our 3 favorite foodie hangouts (he jokes thats how I stay skinny lol). we want our wedding to be a reflection of us as possible so we are condisering having a nacho bar. think tortilla chips, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, guacamoli, salsa (which we would be making and canning ourselves btw), queso, refried beans, rotel dip, etc for people to build their own nacho plate along with a large fruit tray. thoughts??

My friend had a build-your-own nacho bar at her wedding and it was AWESOME. People loved it! I say go for it!!

Sounds like a dry cleaning bill to me:) Nachos are a messy food — at least for me. I’m sure others are more coordinated than I am.

@lilFaithy: That sounds awesome! You should fill one of those ketchup pump things with melted cheese.

We’re doing a nacho bar for our late night party crowd. I think it’s a great idea!

It sounds delicious, but messy.
So would the nacho bar/fruit tray be the only food you’re serving?

We served corn on the cob at ours. After that I now think anything is possible wedding food. Sounds amazing lol!

If you sit forward in your seat they’re not messy to eat. I’m like the least coordinated person in the world and I don’t find nachos messy. Unless you’re not providing places for people to sit while this food is being served…then I would say NO.

If by “weird” you mean “fucking awesome, best wedding food ever”…then yes, nachos at a wedding would be very weird.

That would be awesome. You could always do it as a late night buffet as well.
