Do you ladies think this dress would work with a mantilla veil?
If not, what do you think can be done/ added to make it work with a mantilla veil?
I’m changing the neckline to a mild sweetheart neckline.. Is adding some alencon lace to the bust area a good idea?
I really want to wear a mantilla veil, as much as I wan to wear a mermaid gown..

Heck yeah! That is a beautiful dress!!!

I agree about adding some lace, then it would look great!

I think so! As long as the lace on the veil is the same color as the dress. It may just be the photos, but the dress looks ivory or off-white to me? So you’d want the lace on the veil to be ivory or whatever color as well.
I love mantilla veils! 🙂

No doubt about it, yes! Beautiful gown.

Definitely! Even though there’s no lace on the dress that can work wonderfully. Sometimes a dress that’s too busy won’t work with a mantilla because it’s just too many details, and I think a mantilla works the best with a simple style dress like yours! It lets the dress shine while spotlighting the gorgeous veil. (BTW can you tell I love mantilla veils? ) . Also I would only add lace to the bust if it will be the same lace as on the mantilla. If not, I would leave it off.

With the added lace, definitely! I would either do it on the bust like you were saying, or add a lace sash. It might get a little itchy on the bust..although I have really sensitive skin so maybe that’s just me! lol
