I’m trying to figure out my centerpieces and originally I had wanted a tall vase with a submerged flower. However, I realized that the tables at my venue are longer and oval and I was wondering if it would look weird to just have one tall vase on that type of table.
I would love some feedback or other suggestions, thanks!

I would see what it looks like with 2 vases. Or you can scatter flower pettals around the the table and have votives around the vase too.

I think you need something to cover more surface area. Maybe doing a few submerged flowers. Or perhaps adding some cancdles to the table.

I’d go with something smaller and lower and maybe two of them. It looks like people might be sitting far away from each other at each table so I’d be worried that something tall would be obstuructive. Can you make a mock up and bring it to the venue to try? Also what about putting some colorful cloth under the vase, that might add a bit too it.

Thanks, I felt it needed something else but my mom was trying to convince me that it would be fine lol.
I found another photo that had smaller fishbowl type vase with just a few flowers submerged in it, and I think if I had one of those at each end of the table it would spread it out more.

Add maybe a table runner for a splash of color and some candles. That would be just enough to add to your idea–which still sounds gorgeous!

I would go with a shorter, wider centerpiece, and think that one like this would be plenty. Of course the petal idea is good, or something that matches your wedding colors to scatter (crystals, confetti, candy). The fishbowl might even work alone in the center, depending on your taste. Are you giving favors? That might help fill up the table as well. Good luck, and keep us posted. I’d love to see what it looks like!
