Wedding cakes are VERY labor intensive and where your money goes is into the construction and decoration. It’s really hard to tell from the picture what the dimensions are (is it a centerpiece cake or full size?). You will have to take the picture to bakers in your area to get price quotes. There is no ‘one size fits all’ price, despite what many believe. While it may look simple to you, it’s just as much work in the end for the baker as a fancier/taller cake. It may not be as expensive, but it still costs a pretty penny.

The style of the cake is extremely simple, so design and decorating time will be minimal.  If the flower on the top will be a sugar flower, expect big bucks for that part. To me (former cake decorator) the hard part is the frosting – to get that look, which looks to be a strawberry swiss meringue buttercream, is a tad difficult, and one needs the skills necessary from a hot spatula to get it that clean.

If you want beading that delicate along the seams, make sure and point it out – that’s definitely smaller and more time intensive than the “typical” beading they put on a wedding cake! Depending on the dimensions you want, it shouldn’t be out of control, but i’d expect at least a couple hundred dollars. Save money by going with a less extravagant frosting, and by putting a fresh flower on it instead of a sugar flower.

It’s not going be cheap, but not as expensive as a intricate cake. It’s gorgeous! I love it (I want a simple cake like that too).

Yes, its hard to say. From the experiences we had there’s a few factors that go into the price of your cake. First the size, often times there’s a per-person charge (seemed to hover around $5 per person in our area), and then decoration. We were interested in some of the just “rough icing” designs and pretty much every place we talked to wasn’t going to charge us any kind of decorating fee so it would have just been the actual “cake” cost. I fell in love with another slightly more detailed design (a little more than your picture) and was quote $25 for the decoration fee to give you an idea.
