You don’t have to get a wedding band, but you’ll avoid the “OMG, when’s the big day?!” questions. Have you considered two bands? Like matching curved ones on each side? I think that would look really nice and just emphasize the beauty of your e-ring.

It is a very beautiful ring, but if it were me, I would probably get a wrap to go with it, just because I am a girly girl, and I love bling ๐Ÿ™‚

It is a beautiful ring! I also think it looks best alone and would probably wear it as my wedding ring. Most people won’t question you about your ring in my opinion. Maybe I am biased because I kept my engagement ring as my wedding ring.. though in my case, it doesn’t have a stone and already looks like a wedding band! I think everyone should make this choice according to her own taste, not what others think.

I have a split shank ring similar to yours

and I plan on getting wedding bands that are the size of one of the split shank rows and even though I don’t need a second, my fiance wants me to put one in the front too so that it looks uniform and even. Here’s the one I found at Jared they are ordering for me

I think it looks best as is, but you will probably save yourself a few comments if you go ahead and get a wedding band. Maybe you could get a band for your right hand and if someone asks you can just say you wear them on different hands?

I think your ring is beautiful and I understand your concern with placing another beside it. I have a lovely engagement ring and am having similar issues. I have a European background and considered wearing a wedding band on my right hand while my engagement ring can take all the lime light on my left. Not sure if people will think I’m still engaged though? Im still deciding… Good luck to you and your gorgeous ring!

i also have a split shank and didn’t want to add a wedding band to it, because i just love the way it looks on it’s own.

SO, i moved the ering to my right hand, and have a plain eternity for my left.

mine is a split shank, and I just got a straight band. It would look different than yours, though, because yours goes in toward the middle. You could go try on straight ones and see how you like them…or you could have one custom made.

my ring is actually pretty similar to yours as well, and i just got a pave band (very thin) that matches the line of my e-ring. i am sure you could find one for yours! i love adding a band because i love a wider look!

You could get a custom band that would match the shape of your e-ring. I would get a seperate wedding band just because you will be married and wouldn’t you want to show that off! Besides, you would also avoid the “Big Day” questions from people assuming you are just engaged. In the end it is up to you though.

I think it is stunning as is. I have a large e ring as well. I have a huge wedding band that is just a solid band. I have both rings sized so that I can wear either on either finger but I won’t wear them together on the same finger.
