clearly not, since she ordered a flavour for the bridal party she is looking forward to eating right away.
I know that’s traditional to save the top tier but TBH most cakes other than dense ones like fruitcake don’t save very well.. So why not get a “replica” for the first anniversary and save freezer space?? That way you can have your cake and eat it too!

Unfortuntely we can’t really do that 🙁 I like the tradition too, but we are military and will more than likely be moving overseas right afterwards.

Awesome! Thanks for all the input guys 🙂 I am very happy with the cake I chose. We had a smaller selection because we are from a small town (and my husband didn’t want Chocolate or Lemon flavored anything because he doesn’t like them). So the choices were pretty simple.
That sounds amazing! I love the idea of different flavors. We originally wanted carrot cake but we figured that would be a little too different. And I don’t think it was a current option at the shop we went to. :/ But luckily we found one. I have never heard of champange cake before we went to the tasting.

wow that sounds delicious ! Made my mouth water, never had champagne flavor cake before.
Mine is 4 tiers and 2 large slabs to serve.
We are doing a butter pecan filled vanilla cake with toasted pecans inside
Classic red velvet with cream cheese filling
vanilla cake with vanilla bean filling
lemon cake as a small tier (not my fave flavor buy my mom and sisters rrally like it)
i want one of the slabs as tiramisu as it’s my fiancés fave, but have yet to make the changes with the baker.
I love cake as well so made sure my wedding cake actually taste good. I’ve been to weddings where the cake is gorgeous but tastes dry it flavorless lol hate that !
We are also having fruit platters and a traditional afghan dessert.

Yum! That sounds amazing. I’ve never had almond buttercream, but I really want to try it now.
For ours, we have 4 different flavors, all with the same vanilla buttercream. We have an ameretto cake with custard filling, a marble cake with a carmel sea salt filling, a white red velvet with cream cheese filling and a white cake with lemon filling. I’m sure everyone will find one they love, and since I love them all… I’ll probably have a piece of them all at our wedding 🙂

Your cakes sound amazing!
My cake was so boring… I had a 2-tier white cake (for our topper) covered with textured white frosting. Our sheet cake, which was served, was also white cake with white frosting and then had a little blue ros bud on each piece.
I wanted something simple, and DH is not a big cake fan… so I just kept it to something he’d actually eat.
If I could have ordered whatever, and spent the money, I would have gone the cupcake route with multiple flavors – lemon, cookies and creme, strawberry, and marble. Yum.

I love your choices although my Fiance would try to talk me out of the peaches. We chose 2 flavors for our 3 tier cake–a light rum cake (not heavy on the rum) with orange creamsicle filling and the other layer will be a traditional Smith Island cake (Marylands official state dessert). Both fit perfectly with our Eastern Shore/Maryland wedding theme.

you can’t go wrong with vanilla. Although almond may not be a favorite for some. I know some people may not like it or are allergic but they don’t have to eat it. I love anything cake so whatever you give me I’ll eat.
i picked lemon raspberry and champagne raspberry and omg they are so good. I am having a 3 tier round cake With this design IN ivory. I will have purple satin ribbon go around and pearls right against the ribbon. No flowers
this is our cake topper
so im soooo excited about it. No dessert options though so all i will have is cake.
