    xiexie :  I know absolutely nothing about Chinese culture, so please excuse any ignorance. Your tableside salad idea sounds absolutely perfect! I know when I’m feeling ‘heavy’ salad helps, and being able to choose the salad and dressings then watch it being made is extra fun.

    garnobella :  Oh, no problem at all!  I totally get your point about the food being on the heavy side, and as a Westerner I agree it’s a lot.  But there are just some things I have to bend on in order to make my new family happy, and the traditional banquet is one of them.  My Future Mother-In-Law would be devastated not to eat most of the traditional foods at her only son’s wedding, and I do love that awesome lady enough to want to make her smile even if I gain 10 pounds doing it!

    But I’m glad you think the salad cart would work!  I talked to my fiance today and we decided to have it.  I think it’ll balance things out.
