Totally by a random twist of fate, I found out about a new reality show through a friend of a friend who thought I would be perfect for it, and Fiance and I are in potential talks with the casting company.
It is a docu-style series that profiles the first year of marriage in the lives of six different couples and the major milestones and ups and downs during the first year.
It sounds like it could be fun, but I’m not totally sold on it yet. I have no idea how much the compensation is for something like this – probably not a lot, but it’s hard to find out online and we don’t know at this point in the process how much – but if it was enough for a down payment on a house, it could be worth it.
I think it sounds like a funny/cute/emotional premise. I never thought I would want to be on a reality show, but this just kind of fell into my lap and Fiance and I are intrigued.
What do you think?
ETA: I was told that the show is very non-invasive and you have control over deciding milestones are filmed in conjunction with the producer and when, i.e. they are not in your house 24/7 filming everything you do. This is what I was told…true or not…I don’t know.
