LOL, that seriously happened??? I don’t know if I would be mad… I think it’s kinda funny actually! I think I’d feel really embarassed for her, because undoubtedly people would be talking sh&% about her the entire night!!

LOl recessionistabride, "I’d tackle the b*tch bride wars style" that is so funny! 🙂
I don’t really know what I would do, but that is reallly disrespectful…and catty. She needs to wait til her turn to be "the" bride.

Uh, YEAH I would be mad. What the heck was *wrong* with that guest?
Actually, as the bride, I don’t even think I could be mad and react to it… it’s so off the wall. I’d hope I had someone else to drag her @$$ out.

I would be upset – but I would try very hard to put the offender to the back of my mind and not let her ruin my night. It’s incredible the things people sometimes think are appropriate! I would also instruct my photographer to avoid photos of her at any cost!

First of all I would NEVER EVER wear a dress like that as a wedding guest.
But I personally wouldn’t care if someone wore it to my wedding. That kind of stuff just isn’t a big deal to me.
I’m sure it’s helped by the fact that I’m wearing a blue dress, so it’s not like we’d be in the same color anyway. As a bride, once you decide to wear a colored wedding dress, you come to terms with the fact that others will likely wear the same shade.

@ AWeddings, that’s awesome! Serves that woman right. My engagement ring was bigger than my mom’s, and she jokingly said my dad had to upgrade hers, and he secretly did for her 25th anniverary! She wasn’t being mean about it (my mom’s not the jealous kind) but that mother sounds truly awful.
I’d be mortified honestly if any of my guests showed up like that. They don’t have the "cultural" excuse to fall back on, and I only invited my nearest and dearest. I can think of a few tacky acquaintences who HAVE worn white dresses to other weddings (i facebook stalk and then gossip: OMG SHE WORE THAT?!) etc etc, and my friends jokingly ask if I invited them. I always say no! I’d like to think none of my close friends or my FI’s family would be so inconsiderate as to wear that!

I think I would just laught at how ridiculous it was.

I think I would be furious but I wouldn’t let it get to me, or I’d try not to. I’d say something but probably not at the wedding or reception. That clearly is a wedding dress and entirely inappropriate for a wedding guest to wear.

Oh come on. What’s the story behind this? Ex girlfriend? From some small African village? Came from an Indian funeral?? Luggage got lost on plane except for the gown she was wearing when she got on it? Dressed up for halloween as a bridezilla and house burned down?
Oh please..WHAT IS IT?? Why did the guest show up in that????? My curiosity is really getting to me!

Oooh, boo. If you happen to find out, I would love to know! I’m so nosey sometimes!

I hope she was just clueless and not trying to be malicious towards the bride. Why even temp the idea of making a bride upset on her big day? It’s kinda sad 🙁

First of all, that’s not just "a dress." It is a wedding dress. It has A TRAIN for crying out loud. The woman who wore it has some serious issues.
