Some of the children in the bridal party rode down the aisle on Razor Scooters?
My little sister is 12, almost 13, and is a “Jr. Bridesmaid.” She is not walking down with one of the groomsmen, but is too old (I feel) to walk down with the 7 year old flower girl and two 5 year old ring bearers. I was thinking that after the bridal party goes down the aisle, I would have her, and possibly the rest of the children, come down the aisle on razor scooters. I know it’s wild and wacky, but what do you think?

I think it would be cool … but they will be playing with them while the ceremony is going on.

I would DEFINITELY be shocked if I saw that …. but, honestly, I would never forget it. 🙂 Very cool.

Not my thing but if you like the idea, go for it.

I would be shocked, but not offended; however, I would worry that one of them might accidentally get hurt. If it were me, I would not do it.

I think it would be… unexpected! As long as it could be done safely it could be cute?

I would think it’s weird, but not in a shocked or offended sort of way. It’s definitely different. Are you worried about the kids trying to mess around on them during the ceremony?

Well. Not my style, and shocked? Not in a “bad” way. I wouldn’t forget it, I don’t think. But the logistics of it are what concern me – kids on scooters in nice clothes? What kind of aisle? Atmosphere? All that lovely stuff. :p

Truth? If one of my friends did this, I’d look at my Darling Husband, roll my eyes, shake my head, and say “Seriously?” and then smack talk the whole thing to my friends who weren’t there. But, that’s just me.
Not because I’d be offended. However, a lot of people might find doing that in a place of worship as offensive/disrespectful. I know a few people that would be very offended at treating a place of worship like a playground. These were the same people who were offeded by the wedding party that danced down the aisle.

I think the whole thing depends upon the vibe of the ceremony, strictness of the church, and the ability of those kids to get down the aisle and park the scooters somewhere where they won’t be a distraction throughout the ceremony. If the ceremony was going to be fairly laid-back and the kids could be trusted, I think it could be a sweet and unique idea.

Not my thing, but I’m very traditional when it comes to weddings. If I went to a wedding and saw that, I’d think the couple is a bit silly and wacky and laugh it off. I wouldn’t necessarily think it’s cool or cute but not think badly of them either.

Isn’t your wedding at a historic state museum? Will they even allow that?
I would have a hard time not laughing, and not in a positive way. I guess it depends what kind of wedding you want.

I wouldn’t like this…to each his own but honestly I would be like what? For me it’s not a playground it’s a ceremony. I also agree with noritake, what if they got hurt? I don’t think it’s worth it.
