I would only be worried if they are the type to try and wreck your things. Otherwise, I wouldn’t worry (even though they are being rude).

I might be a bit annoyed, but not much.

When she posted on FB did she make any comments about overpriced etc. ? I think you may be judging them on it when they didn’t mean it that way. It could have been that she was curious and he let her and he didn’t announce, “You have to see Pokemon’s dresses, they’re rediculously overpriced”

Without knowing how it happened I’d just let it go, you’ll be in your place soon so it wont happen again 🙂

I would be FURIOUS! I also REALLY dislike Future Father-In-Law, and I would be SO angry if he even TOUCHED my dress, let alone showed it to people!

I would be upset. He doesn’t have a right to show anybody anything. He shouldn’t have done that.

I would be upset. I found out my mom (who I do get along with) was showing people my dress. I wanted it to be a surprise to everyone but now most of my family already knows what it looks like.

@Pokemon:  I would be really pissed. The only people that get to see my dress before the wedding is my mom, FI’s mom, and my bridesmaids. I want to keep it a suprise from everyone else, so I def would be ticked.

To be honest, I’m pretty open with my dress and have shown photos to most people that have asked. But I would be pretty annoyed if someone showed someone else my dress without permission. It would be like someone else showing someone my house – it’s personal property and it belongs to me. If you want to see it, you just ask and I’ll usually be more than happy to show it to you.

In this case, I don’t think there’s much you can do other than say something like “I thought wedding dresses were supposed to be secret! I haven’t even shown it to XYZ!”

Still, congratulations on your settlement tomorrow! Ours isn’t until July and I’m already impatient!

I’d be upset, but it would also depend on the circumstances. like how open you’ve been in showing other ppl your dress – maybe Future Father-In-Law thought it wasnt anything to hide? but if he was showing it in a money waster snarky way, then YEAH id be pissed

I would be upset! He has no right to be going through your stuff! I would have kept quiet but would have been secretly pissed.

Sorry but I would be fecking furious.  Who do they think they are?  It’s bad enough to go snooping through your things let alone posting about it on FB – especially if you’re keeping your dress a secret from Fiance and the majority of your guests.  That’s disgraceful behaviour and I’d call them on it.

Yes, if it’s to be snarky! No, if it was a “ohhh, look how pretty!” peek. She shouldn’t have posted on FB too.
