To OP:  I’m sorry that a lot of the posts don’t agree with you.  I hope you understand that we are giving our honest opinion of the situation from what you posted.  I, too, agree with most of the posts on here and that I wouldn’t be upset if there was a baptism 2 weeks before my wedding.

Maybe you can let us know why you’re upset.  There’s probably something we don’t know about.

@LacrosseBride:My statement towards you wasn’t berating at all. I basically said that your “get over yourself” comment was rude and harsh. Sarcasm doesn’t help your cause either.

@beekiss2:i completely agree with beekiss2. i dnt see any relation with the wedding and the baptism. are people in the wedding party not allowed to have their own events scheduled within the same month as the wedding? its different if she planned her wedding for a day b4 yours that would be weird.. but this baptism doesnt really clash with your big day

Is it an issue of people traveling to both? As in, if they just traveled to your town two weeks before they might not want to come back so soon?

If it’s more of a “stealing your thunder” issue, I wouldn’t worry about it. It’s not wedding related at all, and it’s two weeks beforehand, so people won’t connect the two at all!

I’d be interested in hearing a little more detail about the situation. Is there a specific reason you are upset? I’m not quite sure I understand why her simply having the baptism two weeks before your wedding would be upsetting. Would you mind a elaborating a little more?

@OttawaBride2011:  I guess she can feel how she wants, but she did ask, “Do I have a right to be upset?”  IMO no, she has no right to be upset at this.

Do you think this could be a troll?  It’s like she unloaded this question and hasn’t been back?
