Absolutely! Wedding dresses ae just gorgeous!! They’re only worn for a few hours and then locked away in a closet. It’s not fair to the dress! I think that you can get some great deals on pricy gowns that are in perfectly mint condition. Think of it from a tree-hugging perspective too.

I would absolutely buy a used dress! For me, I don’t see the point in paying tons of money on a dress to begin with, and I would love it if somewhere had a large selection of used ones!

I think the important thing is to make sure you have a wide selection of sizes to draw in the biggest audience. You don’t want to get a reputation for “only” carrying plus-sizes, or “only” carrying dresses for “tiny” girls. But it sounds like a great business venture! Where would you be located at?

I would and I actually just put my dress in a local consignment shop.  We have one here in town and they are busy so that shows that people are willing to buy pre-owned if it looks good.

i would… but the problem I see on ebay and other venues is people try to sell for not much less than what was paid. So unless its like a HUGE savings I would just get something new.

i think i would, but only if it was a family members that was close to me and i altered it to fit my style, personally i would feel a little uncomfortable wearing a strangers dress, im a little superstitious and i fear dress karma… I know, im crazy eh, i was the same with my ring

Yes! I always think there should be nice classy 2nd hand shops as you only wear it for a few hours. If you buy it off the rack then the amount of time people have spent trying your dress on would probably be more than a bride wearing it for her wedding day! I would love to think someone would like to wear my dress after me. I think they key to the shop for me would be to make it as nice as a new dress shop so it doesn’t feel second hand

I did, I purchased it at 1/3rd the original cost of the dress. BUT I would never have paid more than 50% of the original cost of any dress through a seller. The risk of something not working out and dealing with a return through the seller would just not be worth the risk if the discount wasn’t substantial.
