OMG bees i found wedding dresses at a thrift store any of them like 199 to 399 and they have the brand on it. Do you think that would be less expensive then buy a new one? I think to clean it would be expensive? Any suggestions??? ( my wedding not for two years)

I would ! If I loved it, why not ? And if within the 2 years you purchase a gown that is more appealing, you can pass that other gown along too.

The thrift store is charging $199-$399 for used dresses? That seems pretty steep. The wedding dresses at thrift stores locally are $15. If you like the dress and the price, why not?

If it fit and was the style I wanted, hell yes!

I agree with PP. I would totally buy!

@nafarey7: I would totally buy from a thrift store, however keep in mind your wedding is 2 years away. That’s a long time and you may change your mind and have dress regret.

right dress right price? why would you keep looking to pay more!!

Sure. If it was the dress I loved and it fit. It cost about $150 for me to get my dress dry cleaned.
Just do your research. Up to $400 seems kinda steep since plenty of wedding dresses are only a couple hundred more than that and you’re looking to be at least half price used.

If its exactly what you want, got for it!
My dream dress was for sale by one of my friends. I did pageants for a long time and we all have too many dresses lol. Well, long story short… one of my friends had the wedding dress I dreamed of… She sold it to me, never worn… but still used. I save $400 on the gown I was willing to pay retail for.
But if you love the dress, take it to a reputable cleane. Some less expereinced cleaners have ruined many a pageant gown =( Call a bridal salon and ask for their suggestion. You might even ge a discount by mentioning the bridal salon reference.

I did! I got an awesome casablanca dress that I wore in my wedding! Just have it cleaned and its ready to be altered or whatever you need good as knew. And of course use your judgement on the quality and condiiton of the dress.
