I would really like to hear your feedback on this!
As we all know, China is one of the biggest markets for making fake brand name goodies like Gucci, LV, Chanel…etc. And the good ones look pretty darn similar to the real ones (can’t really tell the difference if you are not a expert or if you don’t look super close). Vera gowns are extremely pricey, although we all want to wear it, not everyone can afoord it.
So ladies, would you go to a service where they’ll make you a any brand you’d like look-a-like wedding gown for cheap? Here comes the complicated part (but not so complicated if you don’t think so): The dress maker factory is in China, so you don’t get to see all the dress upfront, however, you’ll get to see some samples and get a sense of duplication quality, material they use…etc, also get to try on different sizes for your best fitting. If interested, you can place an order and get it within a month. All gowns will be hand made, stitiched, and modification/adjustments can be made upon request. Lastly, a 10k wedding gown would be sold for 1k or less.
Would you try this service?
Thanks very much for reading in advance!

I see you’re a new-bee, welcome!
I’m fairly new, too, but there are LOTS of posts on here about dresses from China, and I’d say the response is overwhelmingly positive. I’ve read here that most dresses take a very long time (longer than 45 days which is PayPal’s limit for contesting a charge) but most girls look amazing and seem happy. Check out the dress boards on here and just read… you’ll see alot about the different websites that make Chinese-replicas of designer dresses.
I personally could never order a dress this way because I’m OCD and I worry about everything. LOL Maybe if I had more courage and patience, I could go this route.
Good luck finding your dream dress!

If you search china replica dress in the search bar on here, you’ll see tons of threads on this topic. Very mixed depending on the company. Some are notoriously good, while others have very poor quality. I think the key is finding one, like dressilyme, where they have lots of good reviews, are very responsive, and send pics ahead of time and are gracious about making changes you ask for before mailing it to you.

@chewyfoodlover: Why when you can just go to Davids Bridal for the White Collection?

To answer your question, no, I would not try this service but I’m sure there’s plenty who would (and do!).

No I wouldn’t do this. I don’t get a brand name anything just for the brand. And frankly there are plenty of other cheaper brands with similar styles, (all designers copy each other to an extent).
Secondly, you get what you pay for in terms of quality and construction.

@Treeline: that is true, I’ve been looking at David’s bridal, and I actually found many great dresses for a good price. I was a bit greedy to see if I could find better lol! 🙂
