I doubt people will question the difference between the two sizes! It’s a beautiful ring!

I don’t think you need to correct the issue with your friends. I guess I would feel a little weird, but I would definitely feel even more weird going back and correcting it. If they do say something again about the size instead of telling them 0.75 (now that you know it’s not), you can either say “It’s just big enough!” or “I found the papers and found out it’s actually a little smaller than 0.75 but the cut is so great it looks bigger than it really is!” or something along those lines.

TBH, I would have assumed it was almost a carat as well if you hadn’t told us what the actual weight was!

Haha, I can see how you’d feel weird, but I doubt even your close friends remember the exact carat of your center stone. Granted they probably remember how it looks and how pretty it is, but I think we tend to get wrapped up in the details of our own things more than other people do. ๐Ÿ™‚

@wrkbrk:  Haha, men. ๐Ÿ˜‰ To be honest, I’m not sure if something much bigger than what you have would suit your hand. I think maybe the reason that diamond looks bigger than it is might be because you seem to have small fingers.

I know I have tiny fingers (my ring just got sized down to a 3.5; I thought I was 4.5, oops.) and my .52 carat looks a lot bigger on my finger than it would on others. It’s all relative.

@wrkbrk:  Oops! I am so, so sorry for the assumption, and sorry that I went with the default option… I think there is a lesson here (for me). ๐Ÿ™‚

I know, I never thought about finger size-to-diamond ration pre-engagement. Also, I think my size would be a 3 if my knuckle wasn’t you know all sitting there being bigger than the rest of my finger. Now I’m rambling… here is the ring.

Mine also has a halo that just encircles the diamond, so that kind of makes it seem a bit bigger, too.

@wrkbrk:  Thank you! So is yours, and from my shopping around I have learned that solitaires mean you have so many awesome wedding band options. I think mine is going to be tricky.
