If my ring was lost or stolen, I’d have to get the exact same due to the insurance I carry on it.

Of course, if I didn’t, I might go for a larger center stone if we could afford it at that time, lol.

I am in  the process of my resetting my upgrade diamond and have been designing my new setting.  It is kind of funny to see that the new setting is the same style as the first for the most part.  Just channel set sides instead of prong set and it tapers a bit now.  So I think I would end up remaking something similar again.  Even when I did not set out to copy my original, it kind of morphed into a similar setting.

I think I would try to look for something similar, but my ring was handmade by a local jeweler so I’m not sure I could get an exact copy.

renwoman:  I’d keep the stone size the same– I like smaller stones– but it’s possible I might look around and see if there was a different setting I wanted (I have bezel– and I would stick with bezel because I love it)– I love my setting, but as long as I was forced to replace, I might look around and see if there was something else– but I’d likely stick with the same general idea.

Yes, I’d change it completely. I’m a very indecisive person. I change my mind like I change my underwear.

I would still get the same setting, but would likely get an Old European Cut diamond center instead of Round Brilliant.

I have my dream ring so I’d want it replaced.

I would get a different setting.  I currently have a claw set princess cut solitare, but I would have prefered a bezel setting. When I originally discussed what I liked in rings, my poor (at the time) boyfriend thought bezel set = square stone, bless his cotton socks. I do like square stones, but prefer bezel set, so that’s all I would change really.

Probably get the same setting or something very similar, might get a larger stone just because my current ring appraised for a whole lot more than he paid, so if they give us “replacement value” we’d have the money for a larger stone

I’d get something different in terms of the setting. I’d get the same size center stone though.

I’d get an old mine, old european, or emerald cut… or maybe an oval… or a pear. I love so many, and could probably change every few years and never run out of ideas.  The only part I would keep is my palladium. I’m really happy with it, though maybe yellow gold would be a nice change too.

I would change the stones and change the setting.  So I guess it would be something differnet. 🙂

I’d be heartbroken! Lol and would replace mine with the exact same ring.
