It looks pretty, but I’m cheap so I wouldn’t pay it. haha. I think it will look just as awesome without it! I love the high ceiling and the beams!

I say not worth it, that roof is super cool looking all alone and no one will miss the $500 pieces of fabric. If you wanted to add something up there could you string your own lights or paper laterns?

For what it’s worth, I think it would look just as wonderful without the fabric, it’s a really nice and unique space.

@newname_99:  The wedding planet :). Wedding costs make me shudder regularly.

That’s pretty misleading though… She must have very extravagant standards in life.

The $500 isn’t all for the fabric.  It’s for the labor.  Fabric price, cost to set up the fabric, cost to clean the fabric afterwards, etc.  Try negotiating for a lower price, but $1/sq ft is common for draping.

Yeah, on no planet is $500 for fabric cheap :p I think it would look nice, but I’m super cheap and would never pay it. I think the wood beams will look beautiful.

I have draped fabric from a much smaller ceiling and the fabric alone was almost $200 and it wasnt expensive fabric.. Took many hours to hang and drape just right.. I think the cost is fair. IMO. Its going to take a few people to hang that.

However I think the ceiling is great without it, Id rather see lighting.

I prefer the look without the fabric. It makes the space seem smaller.

The beams are gorgeous so you really dont need to do it. But honestly I don’t think 500 is bad for that labor.

I love the beams also.

Could you do some special lighting within beams somehow?
