I LOVE it.

Are there any hotels/places to stay near by?

I’d definitely drive 2 hrs for a wedding as long as there was a place to stay.

Hell, I drove 6 hrs each way for a Saturday night wedding (down on Sat, back on Sunday).

Is there any place to stay around there? What day/time is your wedding? If it was like a saturday or sunday afternoon type deal, OR if there was a hotel close  I think I’d be more inclined to go vs. a late night wedding knowing I’d have to drive 2 hours home afterwards.

That looks like a really cool venue! I would probably make the treck, if there were some hotels in the area and if I could make a weekend of it!

One question I have to ask though is have you seen it yet? I feel in love with so many venues online and started planning the whole wedding in my head only to be dissappointed when I arrived.

I’d say it’s worth the drive.

This is the most perfect thing I’ve ever seen!! I’m in!

Honestly, when planning a wedding in Maine (1.5 hours away, or even 3+ hours for some family) their traveling was the last thing on my mind. I’m not saying that to sound stuck up, but I have the attitude of if you want to be there, you will. It’s what we wanted and loved, so we blocked some rooms, and left it up to them. And you know what? 99% of the guest are coming! I wouldn’t worry so much about the distance, it’s not that far, and it’s worth it for the most perfect place ever!!!

@SoontobeMrsA:oops sorry, my question kind of sounded like a debbie downer! I just got disappointed myself in the past.

Anyway the place looks great and very unique. I really would travel the two hours esp. if there was a b&b near by 🙂
