So we’re thinking of doing cupcakes in lieu of wedding cake & plated desert.
FH’s favourite is Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Icing, my favourite is Chocolate Key Lime (either Key Lime cake with chocolate frosting or vice versa).
Would you eat those flavours or should we get something ‘safe’ like vanilla or chocoalte as well?

@MsGinkgo: I’d be queuing for the carrot cake ones yum yum!

Carrot would probably be my pick. Not too sure about key lime at all.

Love the Carrot Cake one…for others, I think I’d choose Key Lime with Vanilla Frosting (or Vanilla Cake with Key Lime Frosting) and then a Chocolate cupcake of some sort.

I would eat both cupcakes. I love carrot cake and I love lime, so I can imagine how great it tastes with chocolate ! I would do the lime as a frosting though. I imagine the majority of people either eat carrot cakes or chocolate, so if they don’t like the icing they can just toss it on the side.

I don’t like carrot cake and I don’t like key lime either..so I wouldn’t eat any…I like chocolate and regular vanilla cup cakes..

I would eat one of each if I thought no one was looking!

Mmmm carrot cake! Lime is not my favorite, but I don’t think I’ve ever met a cupcake I didn’t like 😉
I’d also get a plain chocolate or vanilla.

Key lime with key lime icing. No need for chocolate!

@MsGinkgo: I would definitely do all four. Two safe flavors and two fun flavors!

Personally, I would eat any/all, with preference being not the key lime though.
Darling Husband however would look at them sadly and not eat any – he dislikes fruit in desert.
Maybe have one vanilla/choc “plain” combo?

@MsGinkgo: there isn’t a cupcake I don’t like, and those sound delicious.

Carrot cake and red velvet are so delish and really popular.

I would definitely snatch a carrot cake cupcake! Yum! Not sure about how the chocolate and key lime would go together. I’m a chocolate orange lover, but the chocolate lime doesn’t sound that appealing to me 🙁 Sorry!
