I think if there isn’t much guest overlap, e.g., the first wedding is a college friend & the second one three weeks later is a family member, then you can totally get away with wearing the same dress!  But if you’re going to see all the same people 3 weeks later at the second wedding then maybe find something else to wear.

Believe me I can sympathize since I have 6 weddings (including my own!) this year.  3 down, 3 to go!

    I also agree with

CallMeMrsG: that if you want to buy another fancy gown that Marshall’s/TJ Maxx are definitely worth browsing. I found a floor length Ralph Lauren gown that I wore to a black tie wedding the first weekend in May…and will likely wear again to a wedding with a different friend group in September. Same dress was over $100 more at Nordstrom.  Oh yea TJMaxxinista 🙂

My family is huge and when I was in college I had 7 weddings in seven months for cousins on my dad’s side.  I think I rotated the same two dresses for each wedding.  I was just a guest, so really, not a huge deal if I was photographed again and again in it.  I doubt my cousins five years down the road are going to take out their albums and find the one picture of me in the same dress at three weddings.  🙂

ETA: This is when I was in college and had just gotten back from study abroad.  I was POOR, my mom ended up buying me one of the dresses.  🙂

Honestly I probably wouldn’t, THAT close together.  I don’t dress up that often so when I do, it seems noteworthy and I like it to be a different look than the time a few weeks prior – especially in the age of other people’s pictures on Facebook and all that.

I agree with the poster who suggested TJ Maxx or Target… if you have time, you can definitely pick up another cute dress for $25-30.

Of course ultimately it doesn’t matter though.

ETA – saw your update – makes sense, don’t overthink it, no biggie!

I wore the same dress to 2 weddings, a week apart from each other. One was my uncle’s wedding. I just wore my hair different and wore silver accessories for one wedding, and hot pink to the other. It looked completely different!

Just stay out of those FB photos!  Just kidding. With a different crowd, this is a no brainer. Of course, you can wear it.

robynrox47:  I have a friend who has her “wedding dress” in her closet. No, not a bridal gown she wore to her wedding – it’s literally just a dress that she only wears to weddings, and wears to EVERY wedding. No one has ever said boo to her, despite guest overlap, and she jokes that now she’s been to enough that people can just start photoshopping her into their wedding pictures if she misses one.

    I say go for it.

rachel85:  I love it! Your friend is hilarious.

Heck yes, I’d wear it. Like PPs have said, you can change up the accessories, too.

If there was Little / no overlap of guests, I really like the dress or it was pricey then Yes.

I would! Unless like others said it was the same group of friends that would notice and a two week gap isn’t huge maybe if it was a few months I would around the same friends! Lol but I love dresses and have tons. I LOVE Ross and highly recommend it to expand your dress collection! you can literally find a dress for $15 or under i got lucky and found one of my fave dresses ever there once, a classy black peplum dress with jewels along the peplum for $8 on sale from like $13? Lol so either way I was gonna buy it bc it was already cheap to begin with!
