@MrsRuby:  I think they are great! It would probably be a huge hit around grad time or even for dance girls. I don’t know if I would be brave enough to do it but I have lots of friends that totally would!

I would wear it on my wedding day if the dress is full of bling.

Or a special occasion like a party.

    But everyday wear? NO.

I guess I’m on the minority side of the fence considering that I really like the tinsel look… in small doses. It’s been part of my wedding hair inspriation ever since seeing Michelle Pfeiffer in Stardust. If done right, I think it can be really romantic and even somewhat whimsicle. Add some curls and I’m a happy lady.

I will admit that this wouldn’t be an everyday look for me. However, it’s definitely a fun way to add a little sparkle to a special outfit.

I would so not get away with this at 28 w/kids. Aha*  However, I am not saying it wouldn’t sell.

@flying_hearts:  Never realized she had tinsel in her hair…I think the lack of contrast + the curls softens it a lot and does make it subtle and whimsical.

@pharmy:  Lol, I never realized that she had tinsel in her hair either! And I’ve probably seen that movie a dozen times!

@pharmy:  It’s most noticable in the scene in front of the mirror when she transforms. However, you can still see it further along in the movie – at least until all her hair falls out.

Yes! I’ve been wanting it in my hair (I’m 22.) I just havent been able to find anyone who does it. I think it’d look really nice at a wedding.

Also, I never liked the feather craze. Looked ridiculous to me. But I like the tinsel.

I wouldn’t. I’m 21 and I wouldn’t be able to wear it to work and so on but it would be fun for a short period for a special party or event.

It depends on the price. I would totally do it for a night out with the girls, if the price was right. I’m 23, and still like to be a bit adventurous, so if it came out well enough, without damage, and had a low price tag, I could see myself doing it for kicks.

I like them better than the feathers personally.

I recently moved from a place where I noticed an interesting trend: women under 21 and women over 40 seemed to share the same trends.  They both wore the hair feathers, bedazzled jeans, Juicy/Pink across their butts, and had long, artful acrylic nails.

In reading everyone’s comments I see the similarities.  I personally would not wear them but I can see their attraction.

I must be totally out of the loop since I never saw the feather trend anywhere. Those sparkly lights are cool and I would totally wear those since it is a fun look, but depending on the wedding style, it may or may not work. Why not though if it fits your style? It’s obviously temporary, not a permanent everyday look. I don’t see anything wrong with them at all, and I’m not that young either.

Where would you find the sparkly lights?

i LOVE hair tinsel *i am also a glitter freak though*, i want to get it done for my wedding, but am struggling to find someone who does it… I am 27.. and i thought the feather thing was trashy (perhaps its because the first time i saw it, it was on a girl who looked like she didnt belong in an office building)

I would never do it for myself on a regular basis. For an event where I wouldn’t get looked at like I’m training to be 13 again? Sure, why not?

My stylist does these alot for cheerleader/dance competitions and high shcool dances and such.
