I need to buy something on Etsy and have never ordered anything from this site before. For the bees who have and who have used your credit/debit card did you have trouble? Like money disappearing out of your account or other strange charges orsomething like that?
There is a option to pay with Paypal but it says it will take three days for any money transfer into a paypal account. So dont have the time to wait.
So how would you pay??

I use Paypal, but I’d use a credit card over a debit card if you don’t already have a paypal account set up.

When you use a credit card, you are using PayPal….might as well create an account.

I set up my PayPal account with my credit card, not debit. So I just use that (:

I use etsy often using my card and have never had an issue.

i believe etsy has some degree of buyer protection.

I’ve used paypal with my credit card. You have better protection with a credit card than a debit card, Usually if you get scammed with your debit card, there is little your bank can do to help you.

I bought my wedding dress, veil, and pearl bracelet on Etsy using PayPal. I’ve purchased many other things on that site and have never had an incident or problem when I used PayPal.
If you still feel unsafe, why not go to the store and purchase a pre-paid visa or gift card? 🙂

I have used my credit card and also paypal numerous times on Etsy and I’ve never had a problem. I have only purchased from sellers with great feedback, though.

Credit cards and paypal both have buyer protections. I have bought online hundreds of times and yes I did have my info stolen but getting it back from the CC company was so much easier than dealing with being out the money in my bank account for weeks.

Yup! Repeatedly. Also, it’s 2012, get PayPal 🙂

I’ve used my debit card on there before, wasn’t an issue… but I guess I’m not a very paranoid person. I usually use paypal though, since a lot of sellers don’t take cards.

You should create a Paypal account with your credit card anyways, since many websites use PayPal, it’s pretty convenient. If you don’t have the time to wait, I’d use the credit card, because you can dispute the charges much easier if there are any problems later on.
