I’d go for it! For sure! So many people dream of going to Europe but can’t afford it, and this is a fantastic (and uncommon) opportunity. I wouldn’t worry about the fact that it’s before the wedding – you guys are essentially married anyway (in your minds you’re committed, you’re living together…) – like you said, there’s no real reason not to take this opportunity.
I do also like your idea of taking a short mini-getaway as well after the wedding just to celebrate after the fact.
You’re so lucky you have this option!

For me, it wouldn’t be a honeymoon. I want to be a Mrs on my honeymoon, so I think for me personally it would just feel like a holiday if we went before we were married.
That said, I would still do it, as I think it would be a lovely way to de-stress before the wedding (I plan on going away with my hens about a month before our wedding to de-stress, relax, and get a tan), and it’s also a great opportunity. But I’d probably do something small after the wedding too, even if it was just a couple of nights at a hotel near-by; I think it’s nice to have some time as a newly-wed couple after the wedding 🙂
